Poggio olive oil is made from Taggiasca olives, harvested by hand from Polla olive groves, located in an area called 'Poggio' in Liguria, at an altitude of 200 m. above sea level.
The trees have an average life of 20 to 40 years and are never treated with chemicals, but only natural summer fertilization and protection with 'kaolin', white lime, from the oil fly.
The fruits are healthy, robust, and full-bodied. Processed within 24 hours of harvesting with the traditional cold-pressing method, Il Poggio is produced in n. 400 bottles.
